How we did it

Sterling Communications executed a 90-day PR blitz to position Let’s Green CA! (LGCA) and its new Public Affairs Director, Heidi Harmon, as leading voices in California’s climate movement. Harmon, a former San Luis Obispo mayor known for championing bold carbon neutrality goals, aimed to elevate LGCA’s mission of equitable climate action while expanding her influence statewide. 

Sterling devised a media-focused strategy, leveraging Harmon’s passion and authenticity to secure high-impact interviews and op-ed opportunities. By aligning her voice with trending news cycles, Sterling amplified her presence in key regions and prominent conversations.  

The results were striking: 20 media placements, a reach of nearly 8 million Californians including stories in the San Francisco Chronicle and Sacramento Bee, and a standout op-ed in CalMatters. In just three months, Sterling cemented Harmon and LGCA as climate-tech and policy thought leaders.
