From courting YouTubers to scoring TIME’s ‘Best Inventions’ award for cleantech

How we did it

To help Sakuu rise above the crowded battery market, Sterling focused on showcasing the company’s commercial viability and progress in innovating manufacturing equipment for printing solid-state batteries. By releasing a steady stream of milestone announcements, we highlighted Sakuu’s advancements in a competitive industry.

Sterling secured coverage in key trade and tech publications, including Fast Company, which dubbed it the “holy grail,” and The Verge, which called it “the battery of the future.” This exposure solidified Sakuu’s reputation as a leader in transforming the battery manufacturing process for the EV industry.

We then targeted Munro Live, a popular YouTube channel focused on EV development. The relationship generated several successful videos that amplified Sakuu’s credibility. This strategic media approach culminated in Sakuu’s inclusion in TIME Magazine’s “Best Inventions of 2024.”

The hits keep coming in 2025. Uber-popular YouTuber Matt Ferrell reviewed Sakuu’s “breakthrough” technology and declared “This Changes Everything.” Most recently, Fast Company judged Sakuu’s Kavian manufacturing platform a winner in the 2025 World Changing Ideas Awards for “paving the way for safer, more environmentally sustainable battery electrode printing.”
